Viginia cedar(aromatic cedar) 4 inches tall, size "H". The wood came from an old cedar tree that was felled by the Mother's Day tornado outbreak. Because the tree was on the Garrett property, I call all hooks made from the wood of this tree the Garrett Hooks.

This hook is for sale and will be put up at Etsy.

The style is primitive and not as refined as I wanted to retain the folk arts style of hook that were made in the middle to late 1800s. An old cigar store Indian was the inspiration for this hook.

No finish was applied to the wood. It's hand rubbed.

my thick old fingers would strugle to work something like this into a 40 inch pole never mind a 4inch one..:D lovely
