lovely :D you must have such patience not to mention nimble fingers :) Once they are dipped in wax they must become a nightmare fire hazard lol !!

Only if they are hung next to or above a fire hazard.

We used to have lit candles in our tree when I was growing up. It was a live tree and those were real burning candles. Never in all my years did we ever have a fire because of them.

I can't help it if there are those that can't exercise common sense. And when you think about it, just about everything is flamable in some way shape or form.

Oh totally :D We have a blazing fire every night :D I was just amused at the notion of wax soaked paper with a large surface area..didn't mean to suggest they weren't safe at all.... .... and yep even when you think of it and take something like water and break it into it's constituent parts you get an explosive gas and one of the best catalysts for burning...:D
