The Octopus Hook

And the second hook from yesterday's happy carving frenzy. It's 7 1/4 inches long (7 1/2 inches on the outside curve), 1/2 inch wide and a size G. Carved from Virginia cedar from a tree that was taken out by a tornado during the Mother's Day outbreak a few years back now.

I'm still debating putting a pearl inside the tentacles. This hook is going to the Mossy Creek Barnyard Festival and is for sale there.

And if you're wondering, yes, it took more time to texture it than to actually carve it.
