Yeah, it's October. 10th month... Mossy Creek, Halloween, that much closer to Thanksgiving.
So Mossy Creek is the 19-20 this month. I'll be out there with my crochet hooks and maybe some of the throws I crocheted with one of the hooks I made. If you're in Georgia and somewhere in Middle GA, drop by. I'll be making hooks while there.
I don't do Halloween so don't ask me. Not my thing.
I still have that fundraiser going for that gallery, studio, workshop. I've raised $210 of $28,000 and here's the kicker... Only one guy wanted something, the rest were donations. $5 minimum and that gets you a star, a heartfelt thank you, and a little something at the gallery to remind me who I owe great thanks to for getting me a place I can work and display.
I know things are getting tight and they'll get tighter as the year comes to its conclusion. I'm not asking for charity either. Didn't lose my house to a tornado, earthquake, flooding, zombies, kaiju, wildfires or foreclosure. Really, I'm in pretty good shape there but, I am lacking space to work. I can't carve inside this house. The dust is a nightmare. I can't sew or needlefelt without taking up huge amounts of table space. Something I am really low on presently. I have no place to hang work so if I had someone over, they would be forced to navigate little paths to the living room and be forced to go through boxes.
Seriously, this is not conducive to creativity and you guys and gals, and critters want me to be creative as well as productive. That is why you're following me. It's not for my good looks but you do like what I do.
If you're looking for something to give yourself or your significant other, now's the time to do it. Go to my page:www.gofundme.com/studio-galler…
If you're after a commission and don't see what you want, PM me here. I'm sure we can work something out.
Now last on the plate so to speak is Tropi (*NeonAlbatross
). Yeah, that fuzzy daughter of mine. She's looking to go to AWA next year. Wants a table and all sorts of things. She's got a journal entry up: www.deviantart.com/journal/In-…
She's a good kid, got her own art thing going and wants to make a go at the art shows in the local anime conventions we got.
What I'm asking my followers to do is go on over to her page. Give it a look over and take a stroll through her gallery. You'll get to see her first bits to latest. Like what you see, let her know. Really like what you see and give her a commission. She'll like that and it'll get her some scratch to pay for a table at AWA.
So that's the update to date. I need a place to work and hang the finished pieces, Tropi needs some loving, and I'll be at the Mossy Creek October 19-20.
